I am alive!
I kind of understand now how all the other pcv people update once or twice after getting in country, and then stop. It is hard and it is hard to explain what exactly is going on. The simple explanation is that I am in training living with a host family in a suburb of the capital, having 4 hours of language and 4 hours of technical class a day. Next week I find out what site is MY site, and I am sure I will have a lot to say about that.
I'm very glad to hear that you are not dead via poisonous snake yet! You are such a trooper, sister! ^_^
ReplyDeleteHablas mas espanol, ahora? Espero que si. - And that's the most I know, lol. Not to mention I can only do direct translations, I don't really pick up the real lingo. How're you doing in that area?
What do you learn in your technical classes? Something like Habitat for Humanity and other charity organizations, but adapted to the Panama region? And how in the hell are you dealing with the heat down there?!
